The IEA is seeking applications from suitable candidates to maintain and update the websites of the IEA, the Irish Society for Women in Economics (ISWE) and associated Twitter feeds. The post would suit an early career researcher in economics (e.g. PhD student) who would work with the IEA Executive Committee and members to publicise, support and develop the work of the economics community in Ireland.
It is envisaged that the post would involve approximately 52 hours of work per year, remunerated at a rate of €25 per hour. The post provides multiple networking opportunities and an opportunity to become fully embedded within the economics community in Ireland. The suitable candidate will gain day-to-day experience working with established economists within the IEA from the many member organisations.
While training in website management will be provided, it would be desirable if the applicant has some digital media experience. The applicant should have good communication skills, be able to take the initiative in developing new content and of course have a love of economics!
Application Process
A cover letter and CV should be sent to the President of the IEA, Anne Nolan (ieapresident@irisheconomicassociation.org). The closing date for applications is March 31st 2021. Applications will be reviewed by the Board of the IEA and shortlisted candidates may be invited for a short online interview.
