The 37th Annual Irish Economic Association Conference, organised by the Discipline of Economics, University of Galway, took place from 9-10 May at the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill, Galway. The keynote speakers were Prof. Costas Meghir, Douglas A. Warner III Professor of Economics at Yale University, and Prof. Lucrezia Reichlin, Professor of Economics at London Business School. This year the conference also included a number of pre-conference events, including an economics teaching workshop, a panel discussion on AI and economics, and an IEA-sponsored reception. There was also a report on undergraduate economics education at universities across the island of Ireland delivered by The Centre for Economy Studies, a reception sponsored by the Irish Society for Women in Economics (ISWE), as well as the annual ISWE-IEA 5k Run/Walk.
