The PDST Young Economist of the Year (or YEOTY as it has become affectionately known) would not happen without the support of a number of important stakeholders. The Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) in association with the Irish Economic Association (IEA), the Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service (IGEES), the Central Bank of Ireland, the Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment, the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), the Business Studies Teachers’ Association of Ireland (BSTAI), Laois Education Centre and Economics and Education Departments in Maynooth University, NUI Galway, University College Dublin, University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin and the University of Limerick. Each partner contributes to the continuing professional development of economics teachers, evaluates projects and sponsors prizes for the awards.
