Professor Mardi Dungey, Professor of Economics and Finance and Associate Dean of Research at the University of Tasmania, has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Economics, Finance & Accounting at Maynooth University from January 2015 for a three year term. Mardi’s research interests combine the empirical sides of finance and economics, particulary in her interests in the effects of financial crises on open economies and policy assessment. She is responsible for developments in modelling frameworks for open economies and for applications to Australian and other economies.
